NMLTA Certification Pathways
For licensed title professionals it is possible to obtain more than one certification designation. For those who have enough experience and provide evidence that they qualify, it is possible to earn two or all three of the possible designations offered by NMLTA. The following are possible pathways to multiple designations, and the requirements and costs associated with these additional certifications:

Certified Title Examination Professional Requirements: 3 years experience as Title Officer; 20 CE hours in the past 5 years; pass Qualifying Exam (70% Title questions, 30% Regulatory and Licensing questions) |
Certified Escrow Settlement Professional Requirements: 3 years experience as Escrow Officer; 20 CE hours in the past 5 years; pass Qualifying Exam (70% Escrow questions, 30% Regulatory and Licensing questions) |
2nd Designation (Option 1): |
Certified Title Insurance Specialist Requirements: 7 years experience as licensed Agent; 20 CE hours in the past 5 years; pass Specialized Exam (70% Regulatory and Licensing questions, 30% Escrow questions) |
Certified Title Insurance Specialist Requirements: 7 years experience as licensed Agent; 20 CE hours in the past 5 years; pass Specialized Exam (70% Regulatory and Licensing questions, 30% Title questions) |
2nd Designation (Option 2): |
